ABOUT US |

Brent Doscher Photography is a race photography company based out of the NH Seacoast. It is managed by Brent Doscher, a photographer who has been shooting professionally for many years. He has freelanced all over New England for a multitude of different sports companies and organizations. As well as being a professional photographer, Brent is a competitive cyclist and triathlete. If you're looking for Brent at races, don't just look for him on the sidelines taking photos, as it's just as likely he's the one next to you on his bike!
Accompanying Brent is his fantastic team of professional photographers. These aren't regular photographers - these are the ones that will spend that extra effort trying to get a shot that's never been done before. Brent hand-picks each of his shooters, and looks for those that bring new perspectives and ideas to the race photography community. Sitting in one spot taking the same picture again and again can quickly stifle a photographer's creativity, so the team is encouraged to experiment with new and creative angles and ideas. More information on current shooters can be seen on the photographer bio page.
If you've been racing for even a very short period of time, you have no doubt dealt with the large race photography companies. They shoot your event, take forever to upload the photos, then expect you to pay $60 for two bland images. Sometimes you pay their exorbitant prices because you want to have images to commemorate the race, but most of the time the photos leave you unimpressed.
Then you're flipping through the paper and see images from the grand cycling tours and your jaw drops. The angles and photographic style are all so unique and it makes the athletes look incredibly professional and powerful. Secretly, you wish you looked like these intense pros.
In short, that's what we're here to do: make you look as awesome as Lance Armstrong as he ascends the Alpe d'Huez.
How do we achieve that? It takes a lot of work, and even more creativity. However, if you were to ask me what the number one thing that allows us to create unique moments is, I would tell you this:
It's the small things that really make a huge difference. You can't really expect a photographer who has never run a 5k to know what serious athletes want to look like. A triathlete doesn't want to be photographed as they're coming out of transition, adjusting their jerseys and stuffing CLIF bars in their pockets. They want to be photographed when they are looking awesome, most likely speeding along the course as fast as they can go. If getting that photo requires us to stand way off on the side of the road and pan a shot of a biker hammering it at 30mph in their aero bars, or donning a wetsuit and photographing swimmers from underwater, that's what we'll do. I want my photographers to be just as excited with their images as the athletes are. Why stifle creativity when you can let it run wild?
There is always a lot of talk about how service becomes instituationalized when the customer base gets large. We're here to change the school of thought that says it's not possible to get exciting, unique images when you're photographing hundreds of athletes. We're here to redefine race photography.
